Ambassador Mridul Kumar received Mr. Martin Hirzel, President and Dr. Stephen Brupbacher, Director of Swissmem. Ambassador appreciated the role of Swissmem in policy formulation & supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) through apprenticeship programs, digitalization, networking & advisory services.

Ambassador highlighted India’s business friendly policy reforms, boost for physical & digital infrastructure development as also complementarities between Indian and Swiss industries. Swissmem shared keenness of Swiss industry on prospects of early conclusion of India and European Free Trade Association (EFTA) Trade and Economic Partnership Agreement (TEPA) negotiations.
