Principal Scientific Adviser to Government of India Visits Switzerland, from 14-16 October 2025

     Prof. Ajay Kumar Sood, Principal Scientific Adviser (PSA) to the Government of India, visited Switzerland to strengthen bilateral cooperation in science, technology, and innovation.

     At ETH Zürich, Prof. Sood interacted with the Indian scientific community and toured world-class research facilities in Robotics and the Quantum Centre, exploring opportunities for future collaboration. He           also met Dr. Martina Hirayama, State Secretary for Education, Innovation and Research of Switzerland, to discuss expanding Indo-Swiss cooperation in education, research, and innovation.

     During his visit to CERN, Prof. Sood reviewed India’s research partnerships as an associate member and interacted with Indian scientists contributing to projects such as the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) and         ALICE. He also met      the team at the Open Quantum Institute (OQI) to explore collaboration in quantum science and technology.
     
     Prof. Sood’s visit highlighted India’s growing role in global science diplomacy and its commitment to fostering innovation-driven international partnerships.
