India in the Alps


Embassy of India, Berne celebrated AKAM Iconic Week – 2022 from 19/09/22 to 02/10/2022 by organizing an Indian cultural festival showcasing music, dance, exhibition, cuisine, crafts, Bollywood & yoga in Switzerland titled ‘India in the Alps’. The Embassy collaborated with ICCR, Teamwork Arts for events in Bern, Zurich & Geneva. The following events were organized during the Special AKAM Iconic Week - 2022 as a part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations: 

  1. Opening Gala of India in the Alps at Münsterplatz & Hotel Bellevue Palace, Bern on 19 September 2022

  2. Bollywood Dance Workshop & Well-being Session at Eventfabrik, Bern on 20 September 2022

  3. Drum Parade at English Gardens, Geneva on 21 September 2022

  4. Gandhi@150 Exhibition at Atrium, WIPO (Geneva) on 23 September, 2022

  5. ‘Shakti’ - Mohiniyattam & Kalaripayattu performance at Halle Regi Chile - Bauma, Zurich on 24 September, 2022

  6. ‘Classical & Beyond’- Dr. L.Subramaniam & Kavita Krishnamurti in concert at Wasserkirche, Zurich on 25 September 2022

  7. ‘Shakti’ - Mohiniyattam & Kalaripayattu performance at National Theatre, Berne on 25 September, 2022

  8. ‘Symphonic Expressions’- Dr. L.Subramaniam & Kavita Krishnamurti with Post Tenebras Flutes at National Theatre, Berne on 27 September 2022
