7th Meeting of India-Switzerland Joint Committee on Science and Technology on September 1, 2025
 

India and Switzerland held the 7th Joint Committee Meeting on Science and Technology on September 1, 2025 in Berne. The Indian delegation was led by Shri Prof. Abhay Karandikar, Secretary (DST), Ministry of Science and Technology, and the Swiss side was headed by Dr. Martina Hirayama, State Secretary for Education, Research and Innovation.

2. The co-chairs reviewed the entire gamut of India-Switzerland Cooperation in the field of Science, Technology and Innovation. Both sides gave detailed presentations on the current developments in research and innovation policy of their respective countries. The discussion centered on the research collaboration including stocktaking of ongoing projects, assessment of impacts and innovation-related activities. They also deliberated on potential areas for future collaboration and identified new opportunities for joint initiatives. The meeting concluded with the signing of the Minutes of Joint Committee Meeting on Science & Technology. 

3. Both sides agreed to convene the next round of India-Switzerland Joint Committee meeting on Science and Technology at mutually convenient dates.
