Ambassador Mridul Kumar attended the Baisakhi celebrations in Berne as the Chief Guest. The event was jointly organized by the Indian Association Berne (IAB) and the Bharatiya Association Berne, bringing together members of the Indian diaspora and local community to celebrate the vibrant festival.

The programme featured lively cultural performances by talented local artists as well as performers from Italy, reflecting the spirit of unity, cultural diversity, and festivity associated with Baisakhi. The celebrations showcased the rich traditions of India and highlighted the strong community bonds within the diaspora.

In his address, Ambassador Kumar conveyed his warm greetings on the auspicious occasion of Baisakhi and commended the Indian diaspora for its continued efforts in preserving and promoting India’s rich cultural heritage abroad. He also appreciated the community’s contribution to strengthening people-to-people ties between India and Switzerland.
