On 19.06.2026, Ambassador paid an official visit to the world-renowned Paul Scherrer Institute, Zurich. Deputy Director Dr. Thierry Strässle & Head of Nuclear Engineering Centre Prof Dr. Andreas Pautz gave detailed briefing of PSI, which included visit to SINQ- Swiss Spallation Neutron Source, Synchroton Light Source-SLS & High Intensity Proton Accelerator (HIPA).
PSI is the largest research institute for natural and engineering sciences in Switzerland & is involved in cutting-edge research in future technologies, health innovation & fundamentals of nature.
They discussed possibilities of India & PSI collaboration in the fields of Accelerator technology and nuclear science.
