Nalanda University Admissions Open for Academic Year 2026-27

Nalanda University was established in 2010 by an Act of Parliament under the aegis of the Ministry of External Affairs as a premier international centre for global higher education. The University’s campus, located in Rajgir, Bihar, was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Prime Minister on 19 June 2024. Nalanda University continues the legacy of the ancient seat of learning at Nalanda, renowned worldwide for academic excellence, intercultural dialogue, and the exchange of knowledge.

2. The University is committed to promoting high-quality education and research with a strong emphasis on global perspectives, interdisciplinary learning, and regional cooperation. With an international academic environment and a vision aligned with sustainable development, peace, and inclusive growth, Nalanda University continues to attract students from diverse countries and backgrounds, currently students from over 30 countries residing on the campus.

3. For the Academic Year 2026–27, Nalanda University is offering two-year postgraduate programmes – MA in Buddhist Studies, Philosophy & Comparative Religions, Hindu Studies, Historical Studies, World Literature, International Relations & Peace Studies, Archaeology, Economics, Hindi, & Philosophy; MA/MSc. in Mathematics, MSc in Ecology & Environment Studies and MBA in Sustainable Development and Management.
