As part of the International Gita Mahotsav in November 2025 by Government of Haryana, in partnership with the Kurukshetra Development Board, Embassy of India, Bern organized dedicated celebrations of the International Gita Mahotsav in Switzerland at Zurich on 15 November 2025, in collaboration with the Krishna Temple Zurich.

The event brought together members of the Indian community, devotees, and friends of India, and highlighted the spiritual, cultural and universal relevance of the Bhagavad Gita. The programme featured a thematic dance performance and a short drama by Gita Productions, both of which depicted the core messages of the Gita. This was followed by Aarti and a solemn Havan performed in honour of the Bhagavad Gita, with Ambassador leading the ritual. He also delivered an address on the teachings of the 18th Chapter of the Bhagavad Gita, while HG Krishna Premarupa Prabhu, Leader of ISKCON Switzerland, Germany and Austria, spoke on the contemporary relevance of the scripture’s teachings. The event concluded with the serving of grand Prasadam to all attendees, fostering a sense of fellowship and shared cultural experience.
