Embassy of India, Berne Lounges & Exhibitions at World Economic Forum (WEF) Davos 2026 (19-23 January 2026)

Mission actively engages with Swiss and Liechtenstein companies to promote trade and investment opportunities in India, with a focus on the 3Ts—Trade, Technology, and Tourism. The World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting 2026 at Davos served as a key global platform for interaction with policymakers, government officials, business leaders, and multinational corporations. Through its lounges set-up during WEF 2026, Mission highlighted India’s ‘Make in India’ manufacturing strengths, supply-chain resilience, alongside India’s expanding digital and AI ecosystem, underlining opportunities in artificial intelligence, digital public infrastructure, innovation, and technology-driven growth.
In addition, Mission undertook initiatives to celebrate the ‘States Days’ of Indian States (Tamil Nadu, Manipur, Tripura, Meghalaya, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, West Bengal and Assam), providing a platform to highlight State-specific opportunities and tourism.
From 19-23 January 2026, Mission adopted ‘Five Days – Five Themes at WEF Davos 2026’ and set-up the following exclusive lounges and exhibitions on:
i. Day 1: Make In India – Amrit Kaal: India as the Growth Engine of the World
Focus State: Tamil Nadu
ii. Day 2: Innovation and Technology
Focus States: Manipur, Tripura & Meghalaya
iii. Day 3: Ayurveda & Wellness - “India’s Timeless Wisdom for Modern Living”
Focus State: Uttar Pradesh
iv. Day 4: ODOP & TRIFED – From Local to Global
Focus State: Himachal Pradesh
v. Day 5: Incredible India
Focus States: West Bengal and Assam
