Ambassador Mridul Kumar met Prof. Martin Vetterli, President of world renowned Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL), Lausanne. Discussions were focussed on ways and means to enhance tech and R&D collaboration between EPFL and its Indian counterparts. Ambassador also visited EPFL Innovation Park, one of the six innovation parks in Switzerland and exchanged perspectives with Mr. Robert Giezendanner-Thoben, Director of Industry Affairs of EPFL. Ambassador appreciated the unique ecosystem that EPFL has developed for close collaboration between academic researchers and industry to incubate and nurture start-ups and develop marketable products and services. Ambassador was also briefed about Tech4Dev project aimed at providing affordable people-centric solutions for health, climate & sustainability challenges in Global South.
