The Indian Embassyin Berne in Switzerland proudly announceslaunch of the “Make in India Swiss Mittelstand Program (MISMP)” for facilitating investments in India

The Embassy of India in Berne is happy to announce the finalization of an agreement with Euro Asia Consulting for the launch of an investment facilitation support program for the Swiss Mittelstand.

The “Make in India” program aims to implement Indian Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi’s vision of building world-class manufacturing in India.The Indian market provides many opportunities for growth. Indo-Swiss relations are strengthening as witnessed by developments over the last year culminating in two Summit-level meetings between the Indian Prime Minister and Swiss Presidents. Switzerland is an ideal partner for India as it ranks Number 1 in innovation, international competitiveness and environmental performance.

In the wake of this, and also taking a cue from our sister Embassy in Berlin, which has helped numerous German Mittelstand companies through the Make in India Mittelstand (MIIM) program, the Indian Embassy in Berne, with the support of the Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion, Ministry of Commerce, Government of India, is launching the “Make in India Swiss Mittelstand Program (MISMP)” - to provide the required facilitation services for the Swiss Mittelstand.

The new facility run by Euro Asia Consulting answers the need for an organized platform dedicated to helping companies establish manufacturing operations in India.  EAC willadvise Swiss SMEs on opportunities and extend comprehensive facilitation services to first-time investors for setting up operations in India, thus setting the stage for a strong Indo-Swiss technology and investment partnership.It will act as a one-stop source for companies requiring support services with the additional benefits of special workshops, networking, information exchange, etc. Services include market entry strategy consulting, M&A advice, Operational support, Tax & legal support, Financial services, Project financing, Location services, Technology collaboration, Facilitation of approvals from Central & State agencies and access to Central and State government agencies.  MISMP will have a network of Program Partners to support participating companies with these and other services.

Swiss Mittelstand and other Companies based in Switzerland of all sizes are invited to contact EAC and/or Embassy of India Berne to start availing of the services under this platform.
