 Swami Vivekananda Bust in Saas-Fee

The scenic town of Saas-Fee in the Swiss Alps in the canton of Valais has cultural and historical significance as Swami Vivekananda, a great philosopher  and an inspiring personality, visited this beautiful place in August 1896.

In 2013, the 150th Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda was celebrated in Saas-Fee. With joint collaboration of the Embassy of India in Berne and the Centre Vedantique Geneva, a plaque was unveiled at the Hotel Grand Metropol where Swami had stayed. In addition, a bronze bust of Swami was unveiled in front of Saas-Fee Museum.

The bust site of Swami Vivekananda has recently been upgraded and beautified.
