Know India Programme (KIP)
The Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, New Delhi is organizing “Know India Programmes” (KIP), which is a three-week orientation programme for diaspora youth, with a view to promote awareness on different facets of life in India and the progress made by the country in various fields e.g. economic, industrial, education, science & technology, communication & information Technology, culture. KIP provide a unique forum for students & young professionals of Indian origin to visit India, share their views, expectations & experiences and to develop closer bonds to strengthen engagement with young overseas Indians with accomplishments in various fields like politics, economics, industry, art & culture, technology, etc. KIP will be for duration of 3 - week, the Programme includes visit to one or more State (s) showcasing culture & heritage, and India’s strength in diverse sectors such as science & research, manufacturing and services.
In order to promote cultural interaction and international understanding, the Ministry has planned to organise eight more editions of Know India Programme in the current FY, as per the schedule below:
