CIM two-days Official Visit to Switzerland, 09-10 June 2025, Berne

During his two-day Official visit to Switzerland on 09-10 June 2025, CIM Piyush Goyal engaged in fruitful and productive discussions during India-Swiss business roundtable. CIM Co-chaired a productive Business Roundtable on the Machinery, Electrical & Metal (MEM) Industry with Swiss Federal Councillor Guy Parmelin. Discussed boosting innovation, facilitating partnerships, and joint workforce training. Discussion also focused on unlocking new investment opportunities post operationalisation of the India-EFTA TEPA! Also, witnessed the signing of an MoU between Assocham and Swissmem to strengthen industrial collaboration, foster innovation, growth, and skill development.

On 10.06.2025, during the Swissmem Industry Day, CIM Piyush Goyal  addressing a large assembly of Swiss industry leaders, highlighting India's transformative growth and success story. CIM took the opportunity to highlight India’s remarkable transformation over the past 11 years in terms of technology, innovation & how our nation offers great avenues for doing business. Encouraged Swiss industry & businesses to explore unparalleled opportunities for growth & investment in India, leveraging our skilled & talented workforce and facilitative business ecosystem. Also, emphasised that the India-EFTA TEPA marks a new chapter in strengthening Indo-Swiss ties, paving the way for even greater collaboration ahead!


CIM held meetings and highly productive interactions with CEOs of leading Swiss companies including, Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC); SIG Group; Swatch Group AG; Novartis;  Ammann Group; Sulzer Group; Swisspod Technologies and Bobst Group. With this CIM Piyush Goyal, successfully concluded a productive visit to Switzerland, reinforcing India - Swiss economic partnerships and exploring new opportunities.
